Quality Assurance
One of the primary aims of SPIRIT is to develop and establish common practices among the European ion beam infrastructures in order to set leading standards in the area of ion beam applications and to facilitate intercommunication and interoperability.
To this end we are in the process of developing a common practice with rigorous quality assurance procedures. This will include:
- Fluence control studies
- Round-robin comparisons
- Production of standards for benchmark experiments
- Quality control measures
- Production of a quality assurance handbook
- Quarterly quality assurance meetings at each TNA provider
- Quality Assurance workhops every six months
